Healtcare: Sustainable high-tech production in medical technology
Project overview
Siemens Healthineers is investing 80 Mio. Euro in the construction of a new factory for growing semiconductor crystals in Forchheim. On an area of 9,000 m², a CO₂-neutral production and research facility is being built, which not only eliminates existing capacity bottlenecks, but also creates the basis for the innovative, quantum-counting computer tomograph Naeotome Alpha.
lcmd in the healthcare sector
Through precise construction project management in accordance with Lean Construction Management (LCM), central challenges in healthcare construction are overcome — in particular the integration of sustainable technologies such as photovoltaics and waste heat recovery as well as the integration of complex medical technology production processes.
35 trades are working hand in hand to implement the project, which is efficiently planned and coordinated with the help of digitized lean construction management. This project is an outstanding example of how lcmd is creating innovative and sustainable healthcare buildings — future-proof and at the highest technological level.
